Loved having the whole apartment to myself, and the convenience of a sofa bed. The natural beauty of Laurisilva of Madeira was a stunning backdrop to my stay. Safety features were top-notch with a fire extinguisher and first aid kit, just in case I had any epic accidents.

Oh, and I especially enjoyed the limited housekeeping service. Who doesn't love a bit of dust and grime to really make them feel at home?

Some minor issues including the steep stairs to the terrace and a bit of noise from nearby cafes. It would have been nice to have an iron and extra towels.

One night during my stay at Sao Thiago House Madeira, I experienced the vibrant atmosphere of the old town as I stepped out of my door to find a bustling array of restaurants. Though the noise from the diners and the staff moving tables and chairs could be a bit loud at times, I found the liveliness to be part of the charm of the location. The house itself was beautifully designed, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like umbrellas and sunbathing mats. The central location in the older part of Funchal allowed for easy exploration of the city. I highly recommend this amazing apartment for its unique design and prime location.
